Phu Nhuan is quieter and less touristy than the centre, so the streets are used more by residents than by visitors. Several places to eat stand within 50 m of the entrance, so you can have a meal without going far.

Saigon Railway Station is 1.8 km away and Tan Son Nhat International Airport 2.2 km, both within a short taxi ride. Parking is free and private on site, and no reservation is needed, which matters if you arrive by car. Most of the centre's sights are a taxi ride away too: the War Remnants Museum is 2.4 km away and Tao Dan Park 2.9 km.
